Geil is located in the highlands of southern Norway. It is the gateway to two exceptional reserves. Hardangervidda is Norway’s largest national park, known for its wild reindeer and glittering waterways. Hallingskarvet is set on a mountain plateau at nearly 2000 metres high. Its snow-covered peaks and sheer mountain slopes are home to rare and beautiful wildlife species such as Arctic foxes and snow owls. Age-old Viking burial grounds and archaeological relics have been unearthed at Fekjo on the shores of Ustedalsfjorden Lake.
