Andalusia

Bordering Spain’s southern coast, the large autonomous region of Andalusia is famous for its beautiful landscapes, grand, historic cities; spectacular festivities; and stunning beaches. Cordoba, once the Islamic centre of culture in the west, is home to the glorious Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba (mosque), among other mesmerising pieces of ancient architecture. In Seville, visitors can wander through the flowers at the Parque Maria Luisa and take boat rides along the Guadalquivir River, followed by a night of delicious traditional Andalusian cuisine.

In Granada, see the historic lavish palaces of Alhambra and Generalife. The vibrant culture of Andalucia is one of its major draw cards: from fantastic festivals (fiestas) to passionate Flamenco and Zarzuelas, to lively tapas bars, a spirit of celebration pervades the culture. Don’t miss the opportunity to relax along the palm-fringed white sands of the Costa del Sol beaches.
