Segovia

Royal palaces, ancient castles, Roman ruins and an exquisite Gothic cathedral – all this and more awaits you in the Spanish city of Segovia. An easy day trip from the city of Madrid, the city is a designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an atmospheric historical quarter and an array of architectural treasures that span the centuries. It is difficult to say which of these is the most impressive – the 2000-year-old Roman aqueduct with its 700m arch, the opulent Segovia Cathedral with its multi-spired Gothic facade, or the imposing hilltop Alcázar, shaped like the bow of a ship.
