Parador de Caceres

Located in the heart of the city’s old quarter, Parador de Cáceres is a luxury hotel housed in a Renaissance palace offering guest accommodation in spacious, elegant rooms and suites with private bathrooms. Each unit is equipped with free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and minibar.

In the vicinity of the hotel there is a lot of historical heritage to see, including the surrounding mansions and palaces of the old town of Cáceres such as the Palacio de los Golfines de Abajo. This is where the Spanish Catholic Kings regularly stayed.

The Casa de las Veletas, which was built on the remains of a former Moorish fortress and now houses the Provincial Museum, and the Casa y Torre de Carvajal, a distinctive building from the 16th century with a Gothic façade and a cylindrical Arabic tower. Also visit the old Jewish quarter, the Barrio de San Antonio, narrow streets with whitewashed houses that takes its name from the nearby hermitage. There is a golf course 4 km from the hotel.

History of the hotel:
This Parador is located in the former palace Torreoraz, which was built on Arabic foundations, and has a military-looking tower. The palace was built in the 14th century for Diego Garcia de Ulloa, a knight of the Order of Santiago. His family’s coat of arms is displayed on the door. Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance features can be found in the building.
